1. The agreement
By using Bubbles you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Your licence
You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use Bubbles on devices you own. You may not resell, redistribute or reverse-engineer the app except where that right cannot be excluded by law.
3. Free access, optional ads and Bubbles Pro
- Bubbles is free to download. Your first starter, core tracking features and a selection of recipes are always available at no cost.
- Additional starters and some recipes can be accessed by watching optional rewarded ads. Recipe unlocks last for a limited time.
- Banner ads are disabled by default. You can opt in to them in Settings.
- Bubbles does not use forced interstitial or app-open ads.
- An account is optional. You can continue as a guest at any time.
- Bubbles Pro unlocks all features and disables ads. It may be granted to specific accounts by the developer. There is no in-app purchase for Pro in this version of the app.
Watching ads requires an internet connection. Ad availability is not guaranteed. If an ad cannot be shown, already-unlocked content remains available for its current access period.
4. Accounts
You may sign in with Google or a verified email address, or use guest mode without an account. Email sign-up requires verifying your email address before the account becomes active.
5. Features may change
Features, recipes, ad availability and access rules may be added, changed or removed over time as the app evolves.
6. Food safety — please read this one
Bubbles offers general guidance about sourdough starters and baking. It is informational only and is not a food safety authority.
Always use your own judgement. Discard any starter or dough that shows fuzzy or coloured mould, smells strongly of acetone, solvent or rot, or has changed colour in a way you cannot explain. When in doubt, throw it out and begin again — a starter costs flour and a week, which is a much better trade than getting ill.
Bubbles cannot inspect your starter and cannot tell you that something is safe to eat. Baking and consuming what you make is at your own risk.
7. Your data is your responsibility
Your baking data is stored on your device, and Bubbles does not back it up to any server. Use Settings → Back up regularly, especially before changing phones. Bubbles is not liable for data lost through device failure, loss, or uninstalling the app.
8. No warranty
Bubbles is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. It is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability arising from your use of Bubbles is limited to the amount you paid for the app (which, for the free version, is zero). Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
