Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the FauxPlay mobile application ("the app") provided by Salamanderman ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use FauxPlay. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you are legally permitted to use simulated gambling-style apps in your location.
2. Account registration
- You may register with email and password or sign in with Google.
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
- Email verification is required for email/password accounts before full access is granted.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. The FauxPlay service
FauxPlay lets you:
- Browse real sports fixtures and place simulated bets using Fauxlars
- Build single bets and accumulators on supported markets
- Track your bankroll, bets, and statistics
- Compete on global leaderboards and in private or public leagues
- Play scratch cards and other in-app features
- Claim daily bonuses, referral rewards, and optional ad-based rewards
Match odds, scores, and statistics come from third-party sports data sources aggregated by our backend. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or availability of sports data.
4. Fauxlars and virtual economy
- Fauxlars are virtual tokens used only inside the app.
- Fauxlars have no monetary value and cannot be sold, transferred outside the app, or redeemed for cash or goods.
- We may change starting balances, rewards, odds presentation, game rules, or economy settings at any time.
- Virtual balances and outcomes have no real-world financial effect.
5. No real-money gambling
FauxPlay does not offer real-money gambling, betting, or gaming services. The app must not be used to facilitate real-money wagering. Any resemblance to real sportsbooks is for simulation and entertainment only.
6. Advertisements
The app shows optional live rewarded video advertisements through Google AdMob. Watching an ad is voluntary and may unlock in-app rewards such as bankroll recovery, ad credit, advanced match stats, doubling the daily bonus, or creating or joining a league. Ad content is provided by Google and third-party advertisers and is subject to Google's policies. We do not control which ads you see.
7. User conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the app if you are under 18
- Create multiple accounts to abuse bonuses, referrals, or rankings
- Attempt to cheat, reverse engineer, exploit bugs, or interfere with servers or other users
- Use bots, scripts, or automation to interact with the app
- Harass others or post offensive display names or league names
- Use the app for unlawful purposes
- Misrepresent FauxPlay as a real-money gambling service
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
8. Leaderboards, leagues, and user content
Display names and league names you provide may be visible to other users. You are responsible for the names you choose. We may remove content or restrict features that violate these Terms or applicable law.
9. Intellectual property
The app, branding, design, and original content are owned by Salamanderman or our licensors. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the app for entertainment in line with these Terms. Team names, league names, and sports data may belong to third parties.
10. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time, including features, sports coverage, virtual economy rules, or supported regions. We are not liable for downtime, data loss, or service interruptions.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of sports data, or uninterrupted operation.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Salamanderman will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim related to the app will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or zero if you paid nothing.
13. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time. You may request account deletion as described on our account deletion page. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the service.
14. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information. By using the app, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction of the developer, without regard to conflict of law principles. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply where required by law.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
