Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Salamanderman ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the FauxPlay mobile application ("the app").
1. Who we are

2. What FauxPlay is
FauxPlay is a sports betting simulator. You use play money called Fauxlars to place simulated bets on real sports fixtures, join leaderboards and leagues, and play scratch cards. Fauxlars have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for real money or prizes.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Information you provide
- Account details: email address, display name, and authentication credentials when you register with email and password.
- Google Sign-In: if you choose Google sign-in, we receive your Google account email, display name, and profile photo URL from Google.
- Profile edits: changes you make to your display name.
- League content: league names you create and invite codes you use.
- Referral codes: codes you enter or share through the referral feature.
- Support messages: information you send us by email.
3.2 Information generated through use of the app
- Gameplay data: bankroll balance, bets placed, bet outcomes, transactions, achievements, statistics, and scratch card purchases and results.
- Social and competitive data: leaderboard position, league memberships, and rankings.
- Reward activity: daily bonus claims, referral rewards, and optional rewarded ad completions (bankroll recovery, ad credit, advanced stats, doubling the daily bonus, and league create or join).
- Technical identifiers: Firebase user ID, app instance identifiers, and, when ads run, the Android advertising ID.
3.3 Information collected automatically
- Firebase Analytics: app interactions, session data, and device or app instance identifiers.
- Google AdMob: production rewarded video ads are served by Google AdMob. If you choose to watch an ad, Google and its advertising partners may collect the Android advertising ID, IP address, device and app identifiers, approximate diagnostics, and ad interaction data needed to serve, personalize, and measure ads. You can reset or opt out of ad personalization in your device advertising settings. Watching ads is optional.
- Network and device data: IP address, device type, operating system version, and app version sent with API requests for security and troubleshooting.
3.4 Information we do not collect
- Precise or approximate location
- Contacts, calendar, SMS, or call logs
- Payment card or banking information
- Photos, videos, or audio you upload (we only display a Google profile photo URL if you sign in with Google)
- Health, biometric, or government ID data
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Provide core app features, including betting, wallet, rankings, leagues, scratch cards, and achievements
- Authenticate requests and keep accounts secure
- Settle bets and maintain your bankroll on our servers
- Deliver optional live rewarded advertisements and measure whether a reward was earned
- Measure app performance and improve the product
- Respond to support requests and legal obligations
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and misuse
5. Legal bases (where applicable)
Depending on your region, we rely on:
- Contract: to provide the app and account features you request
- Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, and improve the service
- Consent: where required for optional advertising or certain analytics settings
- Legal obligation: where we must retain or disclose information under law
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
- Service providers: Google Firebase (authentication and analytics) and Google AdMob plus Google advertising partners (live rewarded ads).
- Hosting providers: our backend infrastructure providers that store gameplay and account data needed to operate the app.
- Other users: your display name, ranking, and league-related information may be visible to other users on leaderboards or in leagues you join.
- Legal and safety: if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect users, our rights, or the public.
- Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this policy.
7. Third-party services
The app uses third-party services that process data under their own policies:
- Google Firebase Privacy
- Google Privacy Policy
- Google AdMob and advertising
- How Google uses information from ads
8. Data retention
We keep account and gameplay data while your account is active. If you request account deletion, we delete or anonymize personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep limited records for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. Aggregated or anonymized data that cannot identify you may be kept longer.
9. Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect information, including HTTPS encryption in transit for production services. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
10. Children
FauxPlay is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
To delete your account, follow the steps on our account deletion page. For other requests, email smokareb@gmail.com from the address linked to your account.
FauxPlay does not currently offer deletion of individual data categories without deleting your full account.
12. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including countries where our service providers operate. We take steps designed to protect information in line with this policy and applicable law.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
